I like man who have no race. Sleepwalking Land Muidinga and Tuahir take the notebooks with them into the scorched remnants of the bus that they use as a shelter. It is unapologetic magical realism, a war described without any battle scenes, metaphor upon metaphor. And the story is a great enjoyment for them and myself. It must have seemed as if the land itself is fleeing. The reader is never confronted with it directly, which can be frustrating.
